Little nightmares six12/7/2022 Despite being trapped there, there is toys for them to play with, beds to sleep in, and food and water. It’s clear the children in the Maw aren’t badly cared for–at least to the minds of the adults in the Maw. In the children’s area of the Maw, there’s even a cafeteria for this. It can be gathered that, as the non-normal children age, they require more and more valuable sustenance to survive–and as they eat more and grow older, they grow larger to match the incredibly daunting and huge furniture of the Maw and the world around them…as well as more and more disfigured. It could also just be pieces of random concept art, or art made to set the mood. The only exceptions I can think of are in some of the paintings scattered around the Maw, which could very well just be young-looking adults–even though it’s hard to tell the age through disfigurement. Very few children are shown to be so disfigured like the Janitor, the Chef, and the Guests–and even the Lady herself, with a gruesome melted face revealed in the DLC. Please bear with me when I say this: these ideas lead me to the conclusion that there very well may be two different kinds of humans in the Little Nightmares universe–ones that require more energy to fuel themselves, and those who are “normal.” The Runaway Kid does the same things she does, running and swimming and climbing, and not once does he exhibit the hunger signs that Six does. The lights flicker when she does so later on, indicating something supernatural. Although running around does take a lot of energy out of someone, it shouldn’t make her so badly hungry that she has to physically crumple in on herself, unable to move. In fact, none of the children except for Six wear them throughout both the Little Nightmare games even the Runaway Kid lacks one, and he’s seemingly taller than Six–meaning he’s either older than her. All of the children shown in the comic, including Six, are shielded by coats and clothing, something in common between them.īut not all children on the Maw wear them. They go to the Maw, just like the countless other children seen throughout Little Nightmares in its entirety. Other children have suffered the same fate–discovered by the Ferryman after seeming to run around aimlessly, exploring a barren world. Six, the seemingly only child there, is found and taken away to the Maw by the Ferryman. It’s very likely that they’re going to the Maw. In the first LN comic, Six is shown running through the streets with giant people–who are exactly the same as the Guests–lumbering onwards, ever moving. There are a few things we know about the world of Little Nightmares: outside of the Maw, the world is even stranger than the Maw itself–or so it is claimed. Let me start at the beginning of this theory. Why did she attack him? Why did she go for him instead of something much easier to consume being offered to her by an ally? The Nome was offering her some meat right there, and Six was already friends with many of the Nomes. Upon realizing that the Nome Six eats is in fact the Runaway Kid from the DLC, many people were horrified–which is justified, since, y'know, what the fuck. As the game progresses, Six has to eat something increasingly larger and more lively than before: the first being bread tossed at her, the second a chunk of flesh, the third a living rat, the fourth a Nome, and finally the Lady herself–a (presumably) fully grown adult. Little Nightmares has big themes surrounding eating and hunger, considering the original name of the game (Hunger) and the events in the game. (Little Nightmares, LN comic and LN DLC spoilers ahead!)
